Matt grew up in rural Newfoundland and the North West Territories, completed his undergraduate degree at the University of New Brunswick (BSc/BA), graduate degree at the University of Oxford (MSc), and his medical degree at Dalhousie University. He is currently the Site Co-Lead of the Victoria Hospital ED, Emergency Medicine Co-Lead for Northeast SK, and Site Director for UGME and PGME learners at the Victoria Hospital.
Mel graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy in 2011 and completed her residency in hospital pharmacy at the Moncton General hospital in New Brunswick where she focused on mental health and emergency medicine. In September 2012 Mel was part of the pharmacy group that created emergency practice at South Health Campus in Calgary when they opened their facility. She has been back in Saskatoon since 2015 and has practiced in Medicine, Intensive Care and Emergency at Royal University Hospital. Most recently Mel piloted a project in adult emergency at JPCH to move pharmacy into focusing on the ED patients and supporting the Emergency Department with any pharmacy needs.
