    The Emergency Medicine Provincial Grand Rounds is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of

    Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

    Learning Objectives

    After participation in this session, learners will be able to:

    • Confidently treat patients with sub-massive and massive PE’s using lytic, with or without the use of point of care ultrasound
    • Appropriately risk stratify patients with low risk PE’s and initiate outpatient therapy (if it’s even required)

    PRESENTED BY: Dr. Kathryn Whittemore

    Dr. Whittemore completed medical school at the University of Limerick, her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Saskatchewan, her Respirology fellowship at Dalhousie University, and her Critical Care fellowship at the University of Manitoba. She has completed a graduate degree in Medical Education through Dundee University with a focus on simulation and problem-based learning. She now works in Regina, SK.
