Dr. Kiersten Schwann

MD, CCFP
PGY-3 (Regina)

Kiersten was born and raised in the mountain metropolis of Calgary, AB. Keen to explore other Canadian provinces, she chose to do her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University and graduated with a BSc in Life Sciences. She completed her medical studies at the University of Alberta (close to home… but not too close) and discovered that Albertan winters were harsh without the chinook winds. She then moved to back to Calgary for her Family Medicine residency – this time with her college sweetheart turned husband (yay Covid weddings!) turned Radiology resident. You can bet that their discussions are full of “collegial banter” since joining the University of Saskatchewan’s Family Medicine-Emergency Medicine program in Regina. With Regina being home to her father’s side of the family, Kiersten is excited to reconnect with her roots and immerse herself in all that the city has to offer! Outside of medicine, she enjoys discovering new restaurants and cafes (SUSTENANCE IS ALWAYS THE ANSWER), competitive soccer, escape rooms, nature walks, and doing the bare minimum on Duolingo (Parlez-vouz francais?).
