Dr. Richard Williams

MD, BASc
PGY-1

Richard grew up in Okotoks, Alberta, before moving to Saskatchewan for his undergraduate degree. After graduation he was thrilled to return for medical school and is even more excited to stay for residency. Nearly a decade later, he is proud to call Saskatchewan home.

Richard set his sights on Emergency Medicine at 11 years old. He’s passionate about improving how mental health and social issues are addressed in the ED and has strong interests in ultrasound, prehospital care, wilderness medicine, and medical education.

Outside the hospital, Richard can usually be found biking around the river valley, cooking (poorly), or hanging out with friends. Unlike his colleagues, he can’t swing a golf club to save his life, but enjoys tagging along so they feel better about their own game.
