“Micro-Dosing on Toxicology”: Short Snapper Updates on Three Common Toxins (Carbon Monoxide, Serotonergic Agents, and Wellbutrin)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After participation in this session, learners will be able to:

  • Identify indications for hyperbaric oxygen treatment for patients with carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • Critically appraise the utility of providing corticosteroids for patients with carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • Appropriately utilize high-dose benzodiazepines for patients with serotonin syndrome.
  • Recognize predictors of seizure in bupropion overdose and intervene accordingly.
