After participation in this sessions, learners will be able to:
1.Define social prescribing and explain its relevance to emergency medicine.
2.Describe the social determinants of health commonly impacting emergency department (ED) patient populations and how social prescribing may improve these,
3.Evaluate current evidence on the effectiveness and limitations of social prescribing in acute care settings.
4.Discuss strategies for integrating social prescribing into ED workflows, including collaboration with community resources and link workers.
5.Apply social prescribing principles to a case-based scenario to demonstrate real-time decision-making in the ED
