LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After participation in this session, learners will be able to:

  • Utilize phenobarbital for the safe and efficacious management of patients in alcohol withdrawal.
  • Implement the BAWS score in place of the CIWA score for patients in alcohol withdrawal.
  • Expand their care of patients with addictions by offering anti-craving medication prescriptions upon discharge.
