After participation in this sessions, learners will be able to:

- List the legal ways in which healthcare providers in the ED can hold and treat patients against their wishes
- Understand the appropriate type of situation to use a Form A from the Mental Health Act of Saskatchewan
- Understand when to apply the Substitute Decision Makers Act in Saskatchewan
- Identify situations where neither a Form A or a the Substitute Decision Maker Act are applicable
